Position Overview

Venesky-Brown is partnering with a prominent global firm in the infrastructure and construction sector, recognized for its steadfast dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices. Their mission to foster a better future has established them as a key player in the industry. They are currently in search of a seasoned Construction Site Manager for a significant project.

In this role, you will oversee the development of a new high-voltage substation. Your contributions will be vital in advancing the renewable energy landscape and supporting the transition towards a sustainable future.

This position offers a permanent contract, with a competitive salary and negotiable benefits including travel and accommodation.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

The following qualifications are required:

  • Degree or HND in Engineering or a related field.
  • CSCS - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Manager.
  • Proven experience at a Sub Agent level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills to handle less complex projects with short execution timelines and low risk.

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 7 years in the construction field.
  • SMSTS certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing all assigned project areas to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Effectively communicating with all stakeholders, including site management, technical experts, commercial teams, and client representatives.
  • Upholding high standards of health and safety and promoting the same among team members.
  • Ensuring environmental awareness and responsible behavior are maintained.
  • Driving quality through meticulous planning and execution.
  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring team members.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to encourage repeat business.
  • Implementing a robust cost management system for financial control.
  • Preparing and managing realistic project timelines and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Establishing processes for method statements, activity plans, and risk assessments.
  • Maintaining close collaboration with procurement and support departments to maximize project efficiency.
  • Supporting the professional development of your team members.
  • Engaging in business development activities as directed.
