Buying Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Buying Assistant to join our successful Buying team at Footasylum. As a Buying Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the buying opportunities across our stores, websites, and ultimately the growth of the business.
The role is varied and requires a methodical approach to tasks, with a focus on providing excellent service to our colleagues and customers. You will be responsible for:
- Running Weekly Reports: Provide a trade update to specific people within the company, analyzing sales data and discussing performance with the Buying team.
- Liaising with Brands: Support the Buyer through the buying period, communicating with global brands and account managers to obtain and provide information about products in the category.
- Product Research: Research key looks, brands, and discuss potential upcoming styles and trends, staying up-to-date with key market trends.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Sample Ordering: Order key lines and communicate with marketing to ensure Footasylum brings to market the best product required.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Run reports for brand meetings and retail events, reviewing sales data and discussing performance with the Buying team.
- Supporting the Buying Team: Assist the Buyer and wider buying team with ad-hoc duties as and when required.
About You
We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and motivated individual who is passionate about product and has a good understanding of key market trends. You will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with global brands and account managers, as well as assisting with any ad-hoc administrative duties.
