Youth Support Specialist

The position of Young Person's Practitioner (Risk and Resilience) presents a remarkable opportunity to significantly impact the lives of children and young individuals who face substantial risks, including child exploitation, substance abuse, or the potential of going missing.
This role involves delivering customized support and guidance to children, young people, and their families, contributing to the achievement of high standards of care and positive outcomes. The aim is to empower service users to realize their potential through meaningful engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering personalized one-on-one support, guidance, and interventions. Evaluating the needs of children and young people, formulating suitable support plans, and informing risk management strategies while facilitating access to additional or specialized services as needed. Ensuring that referrals, support, care, and risk management processes are of superior quality, ensuring smooth transitions. Fostering sustainable collaborative work with referring agencies, local authorities, and children's social care services. Maintaining timely and accurate data recording, including tracking, outcome monitoring, and assisting in the creation of feedback reports. Offering consultation, information, training, and presentations to a diverse range of stakeholders from various settings.This role collaborates with numerous partner agencies and commissioners, providing ongoing opportunities to expand your professional network and knowledge within the Children's Social Care Sector. Additionally, there is support available to develop specialized skills in areas such as Substance Misuse, Child Exploitation, Missing from Home, or Family Work.
