Job Overview

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Digital Midwife to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development
    • Support the strategic and operational development of the regional work programme, specifically in relation to the roll out of the maternity digital & data agenda.
    • Facilitate the sharing of good practice and guidance to ensure full implementation.
  • Maternity Dashboard and Monitoring
    • Develop a regional maternity dashboard and monitoring framework that aligns to the Three Year Delivery Plan for Maternity & Neonatal Services and Perinatal Quality Surveillance Framework.
  • Professional Expertise
    • Provide professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the Department or Directorate.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Communication and Analytical Skills
    • Highly developed communication skills with the capability to analyse, review and make sense of highly complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Current knowledge of healthcare policy relating to digital maternity & experience of facilitating implementation.
    • Experience of working as senior midwife at regional & sub-regional level.
    • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, via PG Diploma or equivalent or training/special knowledge or experience to Masters level.
