About the Role

The Regional Digital Midwife will play a key role in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the East of England region. This position requires a dynamic individual who can work as part of a team to drive strategic and operational development of the regional work programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the strategic development of the regional work programme, specifically in relation to the roll out of the maternity digital & data agenda.
  • Develop and implement a regional maternity dashboard and monitoring framework that aligns to the Three Year Delivery Plan for Maternity & Neonatal Services and Perinatal Quality Surveillance Framework.
  • Provide maternity advice and guidance to facilitate improvements in service quality, delivery, and outcomes.
  • Lead on the development of a regional maternity dashboard and monitoring framework to identify themes and opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Provide professional expertise to support the outcome of business processes for the Department or Directorate.

Person Specification
  • Education to Masters level or equivalent work experience at senior level.
  • Qualified Midwife.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the capability to analyse, review, and make sense of highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information.
  • Current knowledge of healthcare policy relating to digital maternity and experience of facilitating implementation.
  • Experience of working as a senior midwife at regional and sub-regional level.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas via PG Diploma or equivalent or training/special knowledge or experience to Masters level.
