Job Description

The ONE Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Digital Baseband Hardware Engineer to join their team in the development of next-generation products. As a key member of the company's engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting the Baseband hardware platforms for low-cost UE and high-performance gNB solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Baseband Digital Architecture Definition: Develop and document the digital architecture for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • Component Selection and Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to select and manage components for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • Digital PCB Design: Design and review digital PCBs using Altium, ensuring optimal performance and signal integrity.
  • Thermal Management: Design and implement thermal management solutions for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • HW Test Team Collaboration: Work closely with the HW Test Team to ensure best-in-class test automation coverage.
  • Contract Electronics Manufacturer Management: Liaise with contract electronics manufacturers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  • BOM and Product Cost Management: Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and product costs for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • Signal Integrity, Thermal, and Timing Analysis: Perform signal integrity, thermal, and timing analysis to ensure optimal performance of Baseband hardware platforms.
  • HW Bring-up and Performance Evaluation: Conduct HW bring-up and performance evaluation for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • Embedded SW Integration: Support embedded software integration for Baseband hardware platforms.
  • DFM and DFT Strategy: Develop and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) strategies for Baseband hardware platforms.

Requirements:

  • Strong Electrical Engineering Fundamentals: Possess a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.
  • Experience with High-Pin-Count Flip Chip and BGA Packaging: Have experience with high-pin-count flip chip and BGA packaging technologies.
  • Experience with Clock Tree Architectures and IEEE 1588 PTP: Have experience with clock tree architectures and IEEE 1588 PTP protocols.
  • Experience with Clock and Timing Devices: Have experience with clock and timing devices, such as crystal resonators, VC-TCXOs, crystal oscillators, and clock distribution ICs.
  • Experience with Power Budgeting and Power Electronics Design: Have experience with developing power budgets and designing power electronics.
  • Experience with Voltage Regulators, LDO, and SMPS: Have experience with voltage regulators, LDO, and SMPS design.
  • Experience with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Simulation: Have experience with signal integrity and power integrity simulation tools.
  • Experience with Thermal Management in PCB Design: Have experience with thermal management in PCB design.
  • Experience with High-Speed and Low-Speed Digital Interfaces: Have experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, such as PCIe, I2C, UART, JTAG, etc.
  • Experience with Bench-Level Design Verification: Have experience with bench-level design verification using high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Phase Noise Analyzers: Have experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and phase noise analyzers.
  • Experience with DFM Techniques: Have experience with DFM techniques.
  • Knowledge of ADCs/DACs: Possess knowledge of ADCs/DACs.
  • Experience with JTAG Test Methods: Have experience with JTAG test methods.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong Ability to Prioritize Tasks and Adapt to a Dynamic Environment: Have a strong ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working Knowledge of the Linux Operating System: Have a working knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Digital Electronics or Related Field: Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in digital electronics or a related field.
  • Can-Do, Helpful, and Collaborative Attitude: Possess a can-do, helpful, and collaborative attitude.
  • Position May Require International Travel: Be prepared for international travel as part of the job.
  • Experience with Python for Electronics Test and Automation: Have experience with Python for electronics test and automation.
  • Experience with RF, Analogue Design, and Clock and Phase Jitter: Have experience with RF, analogue design, and clock and phase jitter.

What We Offer:
