Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Digital Hardware Engineer to architect and design the Baseband hardware platforms supporting low-cost UE and high-performance gNB solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital electronics and experience with high-pin count flip-chip and BGA packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document the digital architecture of the Baseband hardware platforms
  • Design and develop the digital PCBs using Altium, including schematic capture, layout design, and review
  • Liaise with contract electronics manufacturers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses to ensure timely and cost-effective production
  • Perform signal integrity, thermal, and timing analysis to ensure the reliability and performance of the Baseband hardware
  • Bring up and evaluate the performance of the Baseband hardware
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including clock tree architectures and IEEE 1588 PTP
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and deployment of the Baseband hardware

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in digital electronics or a related field
  • Strong experience with high-pin count flip-chip and BGA packaging
  • Experience with clock tree architectures and IEEE 1588 PTP
  • Experience with developing power budgets and power electronics design
  • Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces
  • Working knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
