ABOUT THE COMPANY:
We are delighted to represent a well-established and thriving organization based in Central London. As a result of their growth, they are looking to add an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to their dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will take charge of various financial tasks including Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Payments, Expenses, and Credit Control. This position is ideal for someone who appreciates a diverse range of responsibilities and is eager to manage transactional finance operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Ledger: Generate invoices and manage credit control.
- Reconciliation: Ensure all income is accurately recognized in the appropriate accounting period.
- Purchase Ledger: Handle supplier invoices and payments.
- BACS Runs: Assist with BACS processing through Sage 50 Accounts.
- Expense Management: Process staff expenses, particularly related to company credit cards.
- Transaction Allocation: Assign expense transactions to the correct Nominal Codes in accordance with the company budget.
- Ad-hoc Support: Provide assistance with various finance, accounting, and administrative tasks.
- Bank Reconciliations: Collaborate with the Finance Manager on reconciliations and year-end adjustments, including accruals and prepayments.
- Finance Queries: Address finance-related inquiries for online transactions.
- Credit Control: Follow up on overdue invoices and liaise with clients to resolve any issues.
- Invoice Processing: Post sales invoices in Sage using the correct nominal codes.
- Purchase Order Matching: Ensure purchase invoices are matched with appropriate orders and authorizations.
- Payment Processing: Assist with regular payments to suppliers for outstanding invoices.
- Reporting: Aid in revenue and expenditure processing, including reporting and year-end tasks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in an Accounts Assistant role or a similar position such as Accounts Clerk or Finance Clerk. AAT Level 3 qualification is preferred, although candidates currently studying will also be considered.
Proficiency in MS Excel at a Basic to Intermediate level is essential, along with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with Sage 50 is advantageous, but candidates with experience in similar accounting software will also be taken into account.
