Position Overview

Clinical Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist - Band 6

Location: Community Health Services

Hours: 26 Hours per Week - Permanent

The integrated Community Neurology and Stroke Service at Wiltshire Health and Care LLP is seeking a dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to enhance our team in providing rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from strokes as part of the comprehensive stroke care pathway.

If you are currently positioned at Band 5 with experience in neurology or community settings, we are open to considering this role as a developmental opportunity to advance to Band 6.

You will collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants, while also engaging with a diverse range of providers and disciplines.

Working within the stroke care pathway presents a valuable opportunity to deliver rehabilitation services to this specific client group, significantly impacting and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

This role will primarily operate within the community, focusing on various service demands. Flexibility in your approach will be essential.

This is an exciting chance to work alongside our committed and experienced therapists. You will benefit from regular supervision, a structured program of in-service training, peer support, and opportunities for service enhancement.

A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes are mandatory.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience in applying research-based practices
  • Clinical experience in stroke and neurology

Desirable:

  • Experience in community settings
  • Experience within the NHS

Additional Criteria

Essential:

  • Access to a vehicle for business use and possession of a valid driving license.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • MCSP Dip PT / BSc / BSc(Hons) PT
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professionals Council
  • Current, valid full driving license and appropriate insurance
  • Diverse clinical experience through student placements

Desirable:

  • MSc in Physiotherapy
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting professional practice
