Job Summary:

Hire Ground is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in the London office. As a key member of our HR Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our monthly payroll process, which is outsourced, and will be responsible for checking payroll and post reports to ensure compliance requirements are met for both the UK and EU, including overseeing Pay Gap reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure the effective management of the monthly payroll process, including checking payroll and post reports to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist in the smooth running of the HR Department, providing administrative support as needed.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Recruit and retain top talent, developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain the best candidates.
  • Monitor employee performance, including attendance and absences, and provide coaching and support to employees as needed.
  • Handle contentious HR issues, including disciplinary processes and grievances, in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Work on new HR projects, developing and implementing initiatives to improve HR processes and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on HR-related matters, including payroll and benefits, to employees and management.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other HR-related software.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law, including knowledge of German and/or Spanish employment law, which would be a valuable asset.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Manager in a professional services environment.
  • Experience of dealing with contentious HR issues, including disciplinary processes and grievances.
  • Good working knowledge of payroll and benefits.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
