Job Title: Ward Manager

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at one of our Independent Hospitals in Gosport.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills.
  • Ensure that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training.
  • Address shortfalls in development and ensure that training and performance issues are addressed.
  • Disseminate, implement, and monitor compliance with relevant policies and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure the physical healthcare needs of patients are assessed and managed effectively, alongside their mental health and psychological needs.
  • Actively contribute to the recruitment and retention of staff to the ward and hospital.
  • Ensure that clinical communication, records, handovers, reports, and other patient-related information is conveyed and recorded promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • Must be registered with either NMC or HCPC.
  • Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development.
  • Competent computer skills.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £44,375 to £50,329 depending on experience.
  • £250 Referral Bonus paid after completion of 150 hours for any newly registered candidates who are referred over.
