Job Title: Ward Manager

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at one of our Independent Hospitals in Gosport.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to manage the ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with relevant policies and statutory requirements of the hospital, division, and group.
  • Assess and manage the physical healthcare needs of patients effectively, alongside their mental health and psychological needs.
  • Ensure the ward has clear procedures and processes to support the safe and effective running of the ward at all times.
  • Actively contribute to the recruitment and retention of staff to the ward and hospital.
  • Ensure that clinical communication, records, handovers, reports, and other patient-related information is conveyed and recorded promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • Registered with either NMC or HCPC.
  • Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development relevant to your area of practice in management and leadership.
  • Competent computer skills.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £44,375 to £50,329 depending on experience.
  • £250 Referral Bonus paid after completion of 150 hours for any newly registered candidates who are referred over.
