Job Title: Ward Manager

Service Care Solutions is seeking a skilled Ward Manager to join our team at one of our Independent Hospitals in Gosport.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to manage our ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the ward and resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills.
  • Ensure that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements, and complete mandatory training.
  • Address shortfalls in development and ensure that training and performance issues are addressed.
  • Disseminate, implement, and monitor compliance with relevant policies and statutory requirements of the hospital, division, and group.
  • Ensure the ward has clear procedures and processes to support the safe and effective running of the ward at all times.
  • Actively contribute to the recruitment and retention of staff to the ward and hospital.
  • Ensure that clinical communication, records, handovers, reports, and other patient-related information is conveyed and recorded promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure that the legislative frameworks regarding the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberties are applied in accordance with Priory Policy and National Requirements.
  • Be responsible for Medicines Management in their clinical area/ward and ensure that all Registered Nurses undergo competency-based assessments as part of their induction.
Requirements:
  • Must be registered with either NMC or HCPC.
  • Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development relevant to your area of practice in management and leadership.
  • Competent computer skills.
Service Care Solutions Benefits:
  • Salary is £44,375 to £50,329 depending on experience.
