Job Title: Senior Contract Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Officer to join our team at Fife Council. As a key member of our Education and Children's Services Directorate, you will play a vital role in promoting children's learning, development, and welfare within a nursery context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on aspects of teamwork within the nursery to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion, diversity, and equality in the nursery.
  • Communicate effectively with other stakeholders, including parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to and lead on wider development within the nursery, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Hold a practitioner level qualification (or equivalent), such as HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Level 3 Social Services, Children and Young People.
  • Have experience of working with young children in a formal setting.
  • Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) at practitioner level and complete the required post-registration training and learning (PRTL) over the registration period.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the Ambition, and child development from birth to 5 years.
