Engineering Project Manager

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary Range: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on experience

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 39 hours weekly

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to enhance our well-established Engineering team at Premier Foods, a leading name in the British food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a pipeline of viable projects, encompassing feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Spearhead the preparation of capital authority request documentation and narratives.
  • Collaborate with end users to define engineering scopes effectively.
  • Create functional design specifications that align with engineering and company standards.
  • Identify and select preferred suppliers through a thorough selection process, ensuring appropriate contractual agreements.
  • Oversee all health and safety considerations related to capital projects, adhering to necessary regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, tracking milestones, activities, priorities, and financials.
  • Ensure compliance with user acceptance testing protocols at pre-delivery milestones.
  • Manage essential resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee post-delivery activities, including installation, commissioning, and training.

Qualifications Required:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Food/FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record in managing capital projects with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as IEE 17th Edition and DSEAR.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering engineering capital projects within the FMCG sector, emphasizing specification, integration, and implementation.
  • Proficient in CAD and MS Project.
  • Experience in control system and PLC design and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems.
