Engineering Project Manager

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary Range: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on experience

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to become a vital part of our well-established Engineering team at Premier Foods. This role is essential in overseeing the successful execution of projects that contribute to our renowned food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a pipeline of viable projects, including conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Lead the preparation of capital authority request documentation and narratives.
  • Engage with end users to define and refine engineering scopes.
  • Create functional design specifications that adhere to engineering and company standards.
  • Select preferred suppliers through a rigorous selection process, ensuring appropriate contractual agreements.
  • Oversee all health and safety aspects of capital projects, including compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, tracking milestones, activities, priorities, and financials.
  • Ensure compliance with user acceptance test protocols at pre-delivery milestones.
  • Manage key resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee post-delivery processes, including installation, commissioning, and training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Food or FMCG sector.
  • Proven experience in managing capital projects with a strong customer focus.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as IEE 17th Edition and DSEAR.
  • A successful track record in delivering engineering capital projects in the FMCG sector, particularly in specification, integration, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in CAD and MS Project.
  • Experience in control system and PLC design and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems.
