Engineering Project Manager

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary Range: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on experience

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to become a vital part of our well-established Engineering team at Premier Foods, where we produce beloved food products enjoyed by many.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop a pipeline of relevant projects, including feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analyses. Lead the preparation of capital authority request documentation and narratives. Collaborate with end users to define engineering scopes effectively. Create functional design specifications that adhere to engineering and company standards. Select preferred suppliers through a thorough selection process, ensuring appropriate contractual agreements. Oversee all health and safety considerations for capital projects, including compliance with CDM regulations. Monitor project progress, tracking milestones, activities, priorities, and financials. Ensure compliance with user acceptance testing protocols at pre-delivery milestones. Manage key resources throughout the project lifecycle. Supervise post-delivery processes, including installation, commissioning, and training.

Qualifications Required:

An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification. At least 5 years of experience in the Food/FMCG sector. Proven experience in managing capital projects with a strong customer focus. Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as IEE 17th Edition and DSEAR. A successful track record in delivering engineering capital projects in the FMCG sector, particularly in specification, integration, and implementation. Proficient in CAD and MS Project. Experience in control system and PLC design/specifications. Strong knowledge and experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems.
