Job Title: Senior Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead our capital investment projects across the business. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of project managers to develop and deliver capital projects
  • Provide project direction and support to allocated project managers on major projects
  • Define capital project scopes and specifications, working with factory teams and project managers
  • Resource allocation - prioritising project management allocation, working with all stakeholders
  • Financial management - tracking and reporting capital budgets, applications, approvals, and spends
  • Develop and implement a project management process to ensure consistent approach to successful project delivery
  • Work with the senior team to develop a long-term investment strategy, considering end-of-life asset replacement, de-bottlenecking, use of new technology, and opportunities for factory expansion
  • Identify and assess new OEMs
  • Monitor project capabilities and technical competency of OEMs
  • Define equipment specifications to ensure suppliers comply with requirements and supply equipment is standardised

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND, Degree, or demonstrable equivalent experience in an accredited Engineering or Process Engineering discipline
  • Lean Manufacturing experience or similar equivalent qualifications combined with experience of CI tools and techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and managing complex engineering capex projects, including CDM regulations
  • Experience of developing and managing a team
  • NEBOSH Certified, desirable but training can be provided
