Job Summary

The Sales Associate will play a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience by assisting with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise, as well as maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
    • Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Proactively assist customers in finding products and solving problems.
    • Ensure all customer interactions are courteous, friendly, and respectful.
  • Store Operations:
    • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
    • Maintain back stock levels and ensure accurate inventory management.
    • Perform daily maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
    • Assist with merchandise resets and provide support to Department Specialists as needed.
  • Other Essential Responsibilities:
    • Exhibit and incorporate our Core Values into daily decisions and interactions with others.
    • Participate in store meetings and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Formal retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.

Compensation

$12 - $14 / hour
