Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Lead Care Practitioners for our specialized residential facility focused on young adults.

Objective:
Our primary goal is to create a secure, supportive, and homelike atmosphere where young individuals can thrive and realize their full potential. We are committed to equipping them with the necessary skills to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Compensation:
The salary for this role ranges from £13 to £14 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the needs of our residents are consistently met to a high standard.
  • Participate in probationary periods, onboarding, supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with social services, educational institutions, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other professionals to address the needs and interests of the young adults.
  • Work on a flexible shift schedule that may include days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be willing and able to obtain or currently hold the NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Have at least two years of experience in a childcare or similar setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Experience with child protection protocols and safeguarding measures.
  • Awareness of the effects of trauma on youth development.
  • Dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for young individuals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
  • Willingness to provide support at other facilities as needed.
  • Flexibility to work the required shift patterns, including overnight duties.
