Compensation: OTE £16.50 per hour, including tronc.

Contract: 45 hours per week

Overview: THE PIG in the Cotswolds is set to open soon, and we are seeking a dedicated Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our pastry offerings and supporting the development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Create a variety of desserts utilizing ingredients from our kitchen garden and local suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen garden team to select and use the best produce.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
  • Mentor and support the growth of Apprentice Chefs and junior kitchen staff.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a genuine passion for pastry. Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar establishment is essential.
