About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and ensure the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manage stocks, Health & Safety, and Hygiene practices
  • Uphold 5* kitchen standards and ensure food goes out on-spec and on-time
  • Support the Head Chef in decision-making and labour planning
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Strong kitchen skills and knowledge of best practice
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport
  • Strong knowledge of rota scheduling, sales, and labour forecasts
