About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounges. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and ensure the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manage stock, Health & Safety, and Hygiene procedures
  • Uphold 5* kitchen standards and ensure food goes out on-spec and on-time
  • Support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and making decisions on labour, stock, and food safety
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Ops Chefs and Ops Managers

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Strong chef/kitchen skills, including food prep, hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, and good hygiene practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with KPIs and decision-making in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport and trust
