Head of Sustainability and CSR

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility efforts as the Head of Sustainability and CSR. This is a key role within our Corporate Affairs department, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Affairs.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability and corporate responsibility, with experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, able to inspire and motivate teams to achieve sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement our Sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Lead the Sustainability team and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Monitor and report on Sustainability performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Represent Lidl GB on Sustainability positions at external events, promoting our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
- Collaborate with the international CSR department to ensure alignment and best practices in Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing Sustainability strategies, with a strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve Sustainability goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
