About the Role

We are seeking a qualified adult tutor to join our team at Bury Council. As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering accredited and non-accredited courses to adult learners in various subjects, including ICT, English, Creative Writing, and BSL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to adult learners
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of learners
  • Maintain accurate learner records and reports
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification at a minimum of Level 4
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work a range of working patterns, including some evenings
  • Experience of teaching ICT, English, Creative Writing, and BSL in an adult and community learning environment (or other further education setting)
