Job Opportunity

Brett Martin, a leading manufacturer of plastic and building products, is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Machine Setter to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment in a dynamic and innovative work environment.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving optimum running conditions for Injection Moulding tools, machines, and processes. This will involve:

  • Monitoring performance against planned schedules and specific standards, including cycle time and Quality Assurance.
  • Maximising the utilisation of raw materials through efficient machine operation.
  • Ownership of all activities within the moulding element of new product/process introductions.
  • Conducting material evaluations, analysis, and selection recommendations.
  • Coordinating installation, commissioning, and process development/optimisation for moulds and ancillary equipment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on machine setting role that requires a strong understanding of Injection Moulding processes and a ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Windows-based software and experience of structured process improvement and problem-solving techniques within an injection moulding environment.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A 3rd level qualification in a polymer science or mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience of working with PVC & Polypropylene polymers.
  • A good working knowledge of Windows-based software.
