About the Role

Brett Martin is a leading manufacturer of plastic and building products, with a strong commitment to innovation and employee development. We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Machine Setter to join our team, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving optimum running conditions for Injection Moulding tools, machines, and processes, utilizing resources and time available. Key tasks include:

  • Monitoring performance against planned schedules and specific standards, including cycle time and Quality Assurance;
  • Maximizing the utilization of raw materials through efficient machine operation;
  • Ownership of all activities within the moulding element of new product/process introductions;
  • Conducting material evaluations, analysis, and selection recommendations;
  • Coordinating installation, commissioning, and process development/optimization for moulds and ancillary equipment;

We are looking for a candidate with a 3rd-level qualification in a polymer science or mechanical engineering or related discipline, with experience of working with PVC & Polypropylene polymers. The ideal candidate will also have a good working knowledge of Windows-based software and experience of structured process improvement and problem-solving techniques within an injection moulding environment.
