Facilities Operations Manager

At OCS Group, we are seeking a Facilities Operations Manager who will ensure the delivery of exceptional service to all clients while adhering to legal standards and organizational protocols. This role involves effective financial planning, budgeting, and analysis of both direct costs and overheads.

In this position, you will oversee and guide a team dedicated to providing outstanding Cleaning, Facilities, Security, and Hard Services to our clientele.

You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, in a permanent full-time capacity, totaling 40 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of all services within your designated area to ensure consistently high performance levels that fulfill contractual commitments and align with the strategic goals of the division.
  • Maintain full Profit and Loss accountability for your operational area, ensuring management within budgetary constraints while maximizing revenue and gross margin.
  • Formulate strategies for the profitable expansion of your area, establishing key objectives and timelines for development.
  • Engage in clear and constructive communication with staff at all levels to foster a focus on business objectives and cultivate an environment where all team members feel valued.
  • Collaborate with other managers to promote high staff motivation and productivity, thereby enhancing staff retention.
  • Assist the sales team as needed in preparing commercial proposals and delivering presentations aimed at business development in your area.
  • Ensure that all overdue invoices and outstanding debts are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Participate in communication initiatives regarding safety matters to facilitate a free exchange of ideas.
  • Ensure you receive the necessary training to competently fulfill your duties and responsibilities.
  • Accept personal accountability for safety within your area.
  • Compile and manage the Health & Safety plan for your area, facilitating quarterly meetings that are compliant with legislation.
  • Work closely with the Group Health and Safety team to receive guidance and support, ensuring that safety initiatives are effectively implemented within your areas of responsibility.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive management experience in a Facilities service role overseeing diverse national and local contracts.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving target Profit and Loss, retention, and growth metrics.
  • Prior experience in Cleaning, Security, and Hard Services.
  • Proven operational experience with a successful track record in client relationship management.
  • Highly organized with the capability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively to direct reports.
  • Experience in a corporate retail head office is preferred.
