Facilities Manager

About the Role
The Facilities Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of all hard services and related activities, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. This role will manage the preparation of contracts for third-party service partners for PPM, FM contracts, and annual operating budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of facilities management services to a high standard, identifying opportunities to continuously improve all aspects of facilities operations.
- Manage and work with energy management and environmental/sustainability initiatives as required.
- Ensure service providers maintain records for buildings (site logbooks) to demonstrate full operational procedures are followed.
- Manage project activities and report project status to ensure assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provide desired business value.
- Manage site audits for policy and compliance to agreed standards, including liaison with internal/external auditors.
- Ensure life safety systems compliance, fire fighting equipment, and detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with M&E maintenance requirements, including periodic fixed wire inspections, water management, F-Gas, and environmental, insurance engineering inspections.
- Ensure lifting/access equipment and passenger lifts are compliant, records maintained.
Requirements
- Experienced facilities manager with technical building services experience.
- Strong understanding of H&S workplace legislation.
- Project management skills, with experience in managing and prioritizing workload.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Proactive and highly motivated, with a can-do attitude and a strong team player.
- Project management (Prince2, PMP) or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
