The Role
We are seeking an experienced Foodservice Sales Professional to join our team as a Key Accounts Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine account management and new business development within a foodservice and catering environment.
As a Key Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for implementing regional relationships and agreements developed at head office level, often via consortia and purchasing groups. You will predominantly contact clients from within the healthcare and education sector, including universities, private hospitals, NHS hospitals, and schools/colleges, as well as key profit sector customers within the restaurant, hotel, and leisure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including contract catering managers and head chefs.
- Persuade non-buying clients to purchase from our range and upsell and cross-sell our comprehensive range to trading customers.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
- Strong business development skills combined with a patient approach to attaining strategic complex cost and profit sector business.
- Ability to deal at all levels, from unit head chefs and contract catering managers to buyer level.
- Experience at key account and multi-site level business is preferred.
- Classical field sales training within other sectors (i.e., B2B sales or FMCG) will be welcomed.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
