Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated bilingual co-worker to join our Community Children's Therapy Service at Beatrice Tate Special School and Mile End Hospital in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will work closely with our Speech and Language Therapy team to provide support to young people aged 11-19 with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties, as well as communication challenges.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide bilingual support to the Speech and Language Therapy team during referral triage, assessment, and intervention.
  • Run groups and workshops to support children and young people with complex needs.
  • Carry out intervention plans with the support of the therapist and deal with queries and administrative tasks within the special school setting.
Working with Our Team

As a member of our team, you will work closely with a large and friendly team in a busy work setting. You will need to be able to manage patient data and information, prioritize and manage your own workload, and communicate effectively with therapists, multi-disciplinary teams, children, and families.

Requirements
  • Level 2 qualifications in both maths and English (equivalent to GCSE grade 4 or above in England).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) within current or previous roles.
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs or Disability (SEND).
  • Experience of administration tasks within a healthcare, educational, or office setting.
