We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated bilingual therapy co-worker to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Community Children's Therapy Service, you will play a vital role in supporting the work of our Speech and Language Therapy team at Beatrice Tate Special School and Mile End Hospital in Tower Hamlets.
Main Responsibilities- Providing bilingual support to the Speech and Language Therapy team during referral triage, assessment, and intervention
- Running groups and workshops to support children and young people with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties
- Carrying out intervention plans with the support of the therapist and managing patient data and information
- Communicating effectively with therapists, multi-disciplinary teams, children, and families
- Level 2 qualifications in maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or above)
- Experience of working with children with special educational needs or Disability (SEND)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information in English and Sylheti
- Digital literacy skills equivalent to the Level 2 competencies in the NHS Health and Care Digital Capabilities Framework
