Knowledge Exchange Support and Bidding Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Exchange Support and Bidding Officer to join our team at The University of Northampton. As a key member of our Knowledge Exchange team, you will play a vital role in facilitating engagement with businesses and external organizations across our academic faculties, institutes, and centers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice and support to academic and research staff in applying for funding from external bodies for Knowledge Exchange and consultancy activity.
- Support individual academics to develop knowledge exchange ideas into distinct and fundable projects.
- Develop relevant documentation for each bid, including project budgets.
- Perform desk-based research, use databases, and data manipulation to support knowledge exchange initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain a high level of integrity, self-motivation, and ability to work to competing deadlines.
Requirements:
- Education to degree level (or equivalent level of experience).
- Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in working at the forefront of knowledge exchange.
- Understanding of the sources of funding for Knowledge Exchange and a proven track record of successful bidding or tendering.
- Previous experience in preparing written reports, performing desk-based research, using databases, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Understanding of financial systems and project or programme budget administration.
