West Bromwich, Sandwell, United Kingdom Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional eager to apply their podiatric expertise in delivering patient-centered care to our diverse caseload.

The Foot Health department at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals Trust offers a wide array of specialized podiatric services to our community through our network of both community and acute care clinics.

Our department encompasses various clinical specialties, including musculoskeletal podiatry and subspecialties such as rheumatology, pediatrics, and neurology. You will have the chance to rotate through these specialties as part of our departmental training, with comprehensive support from the Trust's preceptorship program.

As an integrated care trust, SWBH is equipped to provide a broad spectrum of specialized podiatric clinics and pathways tailored to our varied patient population, facilitating opportunities for your professional growth. We prioritize development through quality-focused, protected monthly training sessions, regular one-on-one meetings, supervision, department-wide training initiatives, a mentoring program, personal development reviews, and tailored training plans to enhance your role and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

This position entails delivering independent, high-quality podiatric assessments and treatments for a diverse range of patients who may face systemic chronic or acute medical and social challenges at designated clinics and locations within a pan Trust framework, utilizing recognized techniques, clinical reasoning, and established standards relevant to the podiatrist's qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster meaningful collaborative relationships with patients, colleagues, and peers. You should be capable of flexibly planning and managing your workload while effectively measuring and demonstrating the impact of your interventions.

Given the pan Trust nature of this role, the successful applicant must be able to fulfill the transportation requirements associated with this position.
