About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Telementum Global. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our product categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Category Ownership: Take ownership of our Tech21 product categories, driving growth and success through data-led decision making.
  • Product Recommendations: Make informed product recommendations for upcoming launches, based on data and category insights.
  • Market Analysis: Understand consumer trends and use habits to guide product and feature recommendations.
  • Competitor Analysis: Review Tech21's competitors and markets to understand their features and price points.
  • Retail and Online Landscape: Understand the retail and online landscape and how they offer product opportunities.
  • NPD Design Briefs: Set NPD design briefs considering features, advantages, and benefits (FAB) and product propositions, and kick-off design projects.
  • Project Viability: Identify target COGs for NPD projects to ensure project viability.
  • Business Planning: Work with finance to build and maintain a business plan for products.
  • Performance Evaluation: Work with finance to evaluate and communicate the performance of the category on a regular basis, adding a clear narrative to the performance and how it should guide next steps.
  • NPD Funnel: Work with the design team and partners to maintain an NPD funnel to deliver category growth.
  • Product Roadmap: Maintain and share a rolling product roadmap (products by device launch).
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate category and project progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitor activity and keep the business informed of developments in your category.
  • Partner Management: Maintain relationships with OEM partners, such as SMAPP and Google.
  • Team Management: Manage a team if/when the structure grows.
  • Product and Category Management: Strive to develop robust product and category management within Tech21.
  • Project Support: Support the delivery of projects in other categories when required.
Requirements
  • Global Business Experience: Proven track record working in a global business with strong multi-cultural teams, fostering strong relationships, team spirit, and culture.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills, data-driven way of working, solution-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Narrative and Recommendations: Provide a narrative and make clear recommendations based on research findings.
  • Professional Experience: Relevant professional experience in product information management, category management, or business/product development.
  • Project Management Experience: Strong project and/or portfolio management experience.
  • Concurrent Project Management: Ability to manage concurrent projects.
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint: Experience of using MS Excel and PowerPoint to a high standard.
  • Organisation Skills: Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines.
  • Communication and People Skills: Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Presenting and Communicating: Confident with communicating and presenting with external and internal customers at all levels.
  • Dashboards and Data Reports: Experience working with dashboards to provide in-depth data and insight reports.
