Opportunity for a Male Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Male Support Worker to join our team in Telford. You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to a gentleman with a mild learning disability, Schizo-Affective disorder, and Epilepsy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered care tailored to the individual's needs and preferences.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Promote independence and encourage active participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, nurses, and occupational therapists.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience providing support to individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities.
  • Understanding of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and 6 months' experience within a healthcare setting in the UK.
