Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as Radiology Services Supervisor, your expertise will be essential in steering the delivery of exceptional radiographic services consistently.

By fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement, you will achieve operational efficiencies while maintaining a focus on patient and client satisfaction.

You will oversee all aspects of team and service management (including MRI and PET-CT), exploring new revenue opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with our clients.

Operational Duties

  • Guaranteeing the highest standards of patient care while fulfilling client expectations.
  • Complying with all regulatory standards and exceeding budgetary goals.
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to develop and execute operational strategies for your unit.
  • Ensuring resources and processes are optimized for effective and professional service delivery.
  • Establishing, monitoring, and achieving stringent performance management objectives.
  • Generating regular reports for the Operations Manager.
  • Building strong partnerships with clients, including Trust Management, Cardiologists, Radiologists, and referring clinicians.
  • Successfully managing projects as required.

Team Leadership

  • Ensuring adequate staffing through strategic planning.
  • Leading recruitment efforts and monitoring workforce metrics.
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Mentoring team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Conducting annual performance reviews that include personal development plans.
  • Maintaining accurate training and appraisal records for the team.
  • Enhancing employee engagement through regular feedback and a positive work environment.
  • Supporting the resolution of disciplinary and grievance issues.

Financial Management

  • Effectively managing the department's budget to minimize costs without compromising service quality.
  • Ensuring timely processing of Purchase Orders.
  • Accurately tracking hours worked, leave, and expenses for payroll purposes.
  • Collaborating with your InHealth Business Partner for accurate billing.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Implementing appropriate policies and procedures effectively.
  • Managing incidents and complaints in line with InHealth protocols.
  • Adhering to all relevant policies and regulations, including clinical governance and data protection.

Equipment Oversight

  • Ensuring all departmental equipment is functioning correctly and serviced regularly.
  • Training team members on procedures for equipment malfunctions.
  • Reporting equipment issues promptly to the appropriate parties.
  • Investigating and resolving faults to prevent recurrence.
  • Keeping detailed logs of equipment service and maintenance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience leading a diverse team.
  • Extensive background in managing and delivering diagnostic services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and health and safety standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Preferred Experience

  • Handling radioactive materials.
  • Operating imaging technologies (MRI, PET-CT, CT, Ultrasound).
  • Experience in a similar managerial role within healthcare.
  • Involvement in recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Managing complex budgets and contract performance metrics.
  • Building and maintaining business relationships.
  • Leading teams to achieve operational success.
  • Utilizing information management systems effectively.
