Electric Vehicle Mobile Technician

Location: UK (Travel required)

Salary: £30,000 to £42,000 (OTE) + Company Vehicle

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Overtime & Occasional Weekends as needed)

ISQ Recruitment Ltd is in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Electric Vehicle Mobile Technician for a prominent client specializing in electric vehicles. This position entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles both at client locations and within the workshop.

Position Overview:

  • Diagnose and repair electric vehicles, including buses, vans, and cars at various locations
  • Perform maintenance and assembly tasks for electric vehicles, both on-site and in the workshop
  • Engage in frequent travel across the UK and occasionally abroad
  • Effectively communicate with customers on-site

Main Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles
  • Providing roadside assistance or attending to vehicles at customer sites
  • Conducting maintenance on electric vehicles
  • Assembling electric vehicles in production, including the assembly and disassembly of motors, gearboxes, and power electronics
  • Interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Performing diagnostic checks and quality assurance on completed work
  • Traveling frequently to client or supplier locations
  • Maintaining effective communication with customers

Required Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering
  • Valid UK driver's license

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in breakdown or roadside repairs, preferably with electric vehicles
  • Strong proficiency with diagnostic software and exceptional diagnostic skills, both electrical and mechanical
  • At least 4 years' experience in vehicle maintenance, including knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics (electrical bias is a plus)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in the field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint)
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and the use of PPE
