Company Overview: ISQ Recruitment Ltd is looking for a proficient and knowledgeable Mobile Service Technician for a prominent client specializing in electric vehicles. This position entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles at various client locations and within the workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles, including buses, vans, and cars at client locations and on the roadside.
  • Performing maintenance and assembly tasks for electric vehicles, both on-site and in the workshop.
  • Traveling frequently across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Effectively communicating with customers at the site.

Essential Duties:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles (EVs).
  • Providing roadside assistance and service at customer locations.
  • Conducting maintenance on electric vehicles.
  • Assembling electric vehicles in production, including the assembly and disassembly of EV motors, gearboxes, and power electronics.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Conducting diagnostic checks and quality assurance on completed work.
  • Traveling offsite to client or supplier locations across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Engaging with customers on-site to provide updates and information.

Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering.
  • Valid UK driver's license.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in breakdown or roadside repairs, preferably with electric vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with proficiency in diagnostic software, both electrical and mechanical.
  • At least 4 years' experience in vehicle maintenance, with knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics (electrical bias is advantageous).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively in the field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint).
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and the use of PPE.
