Job OverviewPosition: Mobile Service Technician – Electric Vehicles
Location: Norfolk (Travel across the UK required)
Compensation: £30k to £42k (OTE) + Company Vehicle
Working Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Overtime & Occasional Weekends if necessary)

ISQ Recruitment Ltd is on the lookout for a proficient and experienced Mobile Service Technician to support one of our prominent clients in the electric vehicle sector. This position entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles at various client locations and within the workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles, including buses, vans, and cars at client locations and roadside.
  • Performing maintenance and assembly tasks for electric vehicles, both on-site and in the workshop.
  • Regular travel throughout the UK and occasional international travel.
  • Effectively communicating with customers on-site.

Core Duties:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles (EVs).
  • Responding to vehicles at the roadside or customer locations.
  • Maintaining electric vehicles.
  • Assembling electric vehicles in production, including the assembly/disassembly of EV motors, gearboxes, and power electronics.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Conducting diagnostic checks and quality assurance on completed work.
  • Frequent travel to clients or suppliers across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Engaging with customers on-site.

Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering.
  • Valid UK driver's license.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in breakdown/roadside repairs, ideally with electric vehicles.
  • Proficient in diagnostic software with strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Over 4 years' experience in vehicle maintenance, including pneumatics and hydraulics (electrical bias is advantageous).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage time effectively in the field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and PPE requirements.
