Mobile Service Technician – Electric Vehicles

Salary: £30,000 to £42,000 (OTE) + Company Vehicle

ISQ Recruitment Ltd is in search of a proficient and seasoned Mobile Service Technician to support our esteemed clients in the electric vehicle sector. This position entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles both at client locations and within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles, including buses, vans, and cars at client locations and roadside.
  • Performing maintenance and assembly tasks for electric vehicles, both on-site and in the workshop.
  • Traveling frequently across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Engaging effectively with customers on-site.
Core Duties:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles.
  • Providing roadside assistance or attending to vehicles at customer sites.
  • Maintaining electric vehicles.
  • Assembling electric vehicles in production, including the assembly/disassembly of electric motors, gearboxes, and power electronics.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Conducting diagnostic and quality checks on completed work.
  • Traveling offsite to clients or suppliers across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Communicating with customers on-site.
Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in breakdown or roadside repairs, preferably on electric vehicles.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and strong diagnostic skills, both electrical and mechanical.
  • At least 4 years' experience in vehicle maintenance, including pneumatics and hydraulics (electrical bias is advantageous).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage time effectively in the field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint).
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and PPE requirements.
