Position Overview

An esteemed educational institution is seeking a dedicated Culinary Operations Supervisor to enhance their dynamic and supportive catering team.

About the Role

This role is situated within a large primary school that operates two distinct kitchens. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Infant Supervisor and a team of four Catering Assistants in the Junior kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily functions of the catering services within the junior school.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality meals while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Manage and supervise catering staff in food preparation, cooking, and service.
  • Guarantee that all meals and snacks are prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and institutional guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
  • Train and guide staff members on food handling procedures.
  • Implement and uphold food safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in culinary arts, food production, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with school staff, kitchen team, and students.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of menu planning and meal preparation techniques.
  • Experience in a school or hospitality setting is advantageous.
