Clinical Lead for Adult Liaison Psychiatry

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Band 7 Clinical Lead to influence the evolution and strategic direction of the Adult Liaison Psychiatry Team in Doncaster.
This role is ideal for a seasoned and independent practitioner with substantial experience in adult psychiatric liaison care, dedicated to the continuous improvement and provision of exceptional patient care.

- Participate and advocate for hospital liaison in best interest meetings for patients.
- Design and conduct mental health training sessions across the organization.
- Manage care plans for complex cases and conduct regular reviews.
Main Responsibilities:
Demonstrate advanced clinical competencies in practice while providing guidance on service development, care pathways, and collaborative care delivery with service users, families, staff, and external agencies.
Lead and facilitate intricate, sensitive, and challenging clinical communications that may affect service users, families, staff, and other stakeholders, particularly in situations with communication barriers.
Chair and facilitate complex case reviews, best interest meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions involving various agencies.
Provide specialized advice to multidisciplinary team members regarding the care and treatment of service users.
Supervise team clinicians, ensuring effective caseload management, quality interventions, timely responses, and consistent communication with the multidisciplinary team to support case formulation.
Act as a role model for all staff, ensuring adherence to care standards.
Assist the team manager in delivering training and educational initiatives within the acute hospital settings.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Proven experience and clinical proficiency in managing individuals in acute distress.
- Experience in clinical supervision and a willingness to provide guidance.
Desirable:
- Experience in a clinical lead role within an adult care setting.
- Experience in leading reflective learning sessions with staff.
