Role Responsibilities

As a Subsea Field Engineer at Boskalis, you will play a crucial role in mobilization and demobilization processes during port operations. You will also collaborate with the offshore engineering team throughout the project execution phase. Your dual responsibilities will include:

Acting as the primary contact for mobilizations and demobilizations. Performing project engineering tasks as part of the offshore project team. Providing onshore assistance to projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

Reviewing deck plans, lift plans, and mobilization plans prior to mobilization to offer vessel-specific feedback on optimizations or potential issues. Leading mobilization and demobilization efforts to ensure safe and efficient execution in line with approved plans or amendments as necessary. Collaborating with future project teams to address technical inquiries and facilitate the transfer of vessel-specific information promptly. Identifying synergies in equipment and tooling between outgoing and incoming projects to promote cross-utilization and cost efficiency. Ensuring all project equipment is delivered with appropriate documentation and certification, and preparing manifests for equipment return upon demobilization. Managing and overseeing the certification of long-term hires or permanent project vessel equipment, while identifying and communicating any loss or damage. Delivering effective demobilizations by supporting the accurate manifesting of backloaded equipment in conjunction with project team members. Coordinating with the Operations Support team to keep them informed of all current vessel deck equipment, tooling, and SOPs as requested.

Project Engineering Duties

The Subsea Field Engineer will also assume the role of Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer during the offshore project phase.

Qualifications

You can excel as a Subsea Field Engineer if you possess:

An engineering qualification (HNC or higher) or relevant practical experience in all aspects of the Field Engineer role. A minimum of 1-2 years of offshore project experience. Experience in the subsea industry. Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OGUK Medical certifications.

Your team: You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Project, and Offshore teams, as well as various departments across the organization. Work environment: Primarily offshore on one of our vessels, with occasional time spent in the Aberdeen office as needed.
