Role Overview

The Subsea Drilling Subsea Services (SDS) Installation Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing installation operations conducted by TechnipFMC personnel in various field settings. This position entails providing both onsite and remote technical assistance for drilling activities carried out by TechnipFMC across different project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the precision and consistency of project installation protocols.
  • Timely submission and field-level review of GFERPs and SNs.
  • Offer technical insights for RCAs and address field non-conformances.
  • Facilitate Technical Readiness Reviews (TRR) and After Action Reviews (AAR) post project execution.
  • Establish functional locations for designated projects.
  • Compile and manage project equipment inventories and documentation.
  • Deliver both scheduled and unscheduled technical support for onshore and offshore operations.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be a national of Guyana.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, along with 2-4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, including field experience.
  • Willingness and capability to engage in hands-on work in field settings during operational tasks.
  • Availability for travel to offsite or offshore locations as necessary.
  • Proficient in meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Exhibit a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Completion of T-HUET/BOSIET training and other relevant offshore training is mandatory.

Work Environment

This role involves time spent in both office and field environments, with the specific balance determined by project requirements. Potential hazards may include exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, chemicals, and heavy lifting operations.

Physical Requirements

Office duties may involve sitting, computer operation, walking, and some lifting. Fieldwork requires physical activities such as lifting, walking, bending, and climbing.
