We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Pre-Assessment department at Oaks Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients are prepared physically and psychologically for elective surgery.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking pre-operative assessments of patients awaiting elective surgery across all specialties. This will involve ensuring that patients receive appropriate information and identifying potential discharge concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients to identify potential risks and concerns
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current NMC registration
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Flexible and committed to maintaining and improving patient experience
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge & compliance with Ramsay Policies and CQC Standards
