Position: Management Accountant

Location: Borehamwood Hertfordshire / Hybrid

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time, 37.5 Hours a week

Salary Range: £30,000 - £34,000

Reporting Structure: Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Assess the financial performance of the organization based on financial records.
  • Identify areas of concern and provide recommendations to management.
  • Communicate and interpret financial information to non-financial managers.
  • Oversee the management of Sterling bank accounts.
  • Code and post all cash transactions related to bank activities.
  • Manage weekly cash banked and process till incomes.
  • Enter utility accruals and post revenue.
  • Upload data to Procure Wizard on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain domestic and non-domestic rates.
  • Oversee costs related to staff properties and liaise with HR during payroll year-end.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with vendors of point-of-sale and accounting software.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounts in Access Financials.
  • Generate statistical reports and perform analysis as needed.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end audits and financial reporting processes.
  • Review and amend UK relevant codes for accurate postings.
  • Analyze sales against expenses and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process House Capex requests.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs to maintain controls and mitigate risks.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates with the following essential skills:
  • Proficient in financial tools.
  • Strong skills in spreadsheet and accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.

Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in discounted cash flows, business production processes, financial data processing, and bookkeeping.
