FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Contract: Permanent Full Time, 37.5 Hours a week

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Assessment of the organization's financial performance through analysis of financial records.
  • Identification of financial discrepancies and provision of recommendations to management.
  • Communication and interpretation of financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Management of Sterling bank accounts, excluding flight and forex transactions.
  • Classification of primary bank transactions and posting of all cash books related to banking activities.
  • Processing of till revenues and oversight of weekly cash deposits.
  • Recording of utility accruals and revenue postings.
  • Weekly uploads to procurement systems.
  • Oversight of domestic and non-domestic rates.
  • Management of house licenses and associated costs.
  • Collaboration with HR for payroll year-end processes related to staff properties.
  • Administration of the Accounts Receivable inbox.
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheets.
  • Liaison with point-of-sale systems, accounting software, and other vendors.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of accounts in financial systems and creation of new authorized accounts.
  • Generation of statistical reports and analyses as required.
  • Assistance in month-end and year-end audits and financial reporting processes.
  • Review of UK relevant codes for accuracy and necessary amendments.
  • Analysis of UK sales against expenditures and investigation of any discrepancies.
  • Processing of capital expenditure requests.
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures to maintain controls and mitigate risks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software applications.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.

Desirable skills include:

  • Prior experience in discounted cash flows, business production processes, financial data processing, and bookkeeping.
