Connect2Luton is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Youth Support Specialist within the Children, Families and Education division.

This role involves conducting evaluations, designing, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and reassessing intervention strategies for children and adolescents engaged in early intervention, prevention, and youth justice initiatives, along with their families, including those with challenging and intricate circumstances.

As a Youth Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating across diverse environments and partnering with various statutory and voluntary organizations, adhering to agency policies, the stipulations of the Youth Justice Board/Ministry of Justice, and following effective practice guidelines.

Serving as a court and bail duty representative, in line with departmental policies and Practice Standards, within the Youth Court, including the provision of information to the Court.

Engaging with partner organizations and other local statutory and voluntary entities during meetings.

Demonstrating effective communication skills (both verbal and written in English) and fostering positive working relationships with children.

Assessing, supporting, and inspiring young individuals, particularly in cases where vulnerability and risk levels to themselves and the community are moderate to high.

Possessing a valid driver's license to facilitate regular and frequent visits both within and outside the designated area and to provide transportation for children.
