We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Justice Officer to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who are at risk of offending or have been involved in the youth justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake assessments and develop intervention plans with children and young people, and their families, to reduce the risk of offending and harm to themselves or others.
  2. Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver effective services and meet the needs of our clients.
  3. Act as duty officer, evaluating and responding to new referrals, and providing advice and information to clients and partner agencies.
  4. Represent the service in court, providing information and supporting the delivery of justice.

Requirements:

  • A relevant professional or degree-level qualification (NVQ 4) associated with one of our partner agencies.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of youth justice principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Able to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
